The complex program of research grants of the "BASIS" Foundation is aimed at supporting active scientists who conduct theoretical research in the field of fundamental mathematics.

First of all, the program is aimed at supporting students, graduate students and young scientists who conduct research under the guidance of leading scientists working at the highest international level.

The program includes the following grant competitions:

Leader
Junior Leader
Young Mathematics of Russia (Phd or Doctor of Science – Mathematics),
Young Mathematics of Russia (PhD or researchers without PhD degree – Mathematics).

Competition	Aims	Applicant requirements
Leader	Offer an opportunity for talented young scientists to pursue their research under the supervision of leading scientists, performing at the highest international level; Contribute to the development of the existing research teams of the internationally competitive level as well as the emergence of the new ones.	The head of the group: PhD or higher doctoral degree; no less than 5 publications* in the last 10 years. Within the competition the support can be granted to the research groups, consisting of the leading scientist and 2-4 young researchers (PhD degree, PhD-students, young researchers without PhD degree, and senior students).
Junior Leader		The head of the group: not above 49 years old; PhD or higher doctoral degree; no less than 3 publications in the last 6 years. Within the competition the support can be granted to the research groups, consisting of the leading scientist and 1-3 young researchers (PhD-students, and senior students).
Young Mathematics of Russia (Phd or Doctor of Science – Mathematics)	support talented young scientists with a PhD degree; contribute to raising the scientific level and relevance of their research.	Applicant: PhD or higher doctoral degree; not above 35 years old for PhD and not above 40 years old for higher doctoral degree; no less than 3 publications in the last 5 years.
Young Mathematics of Russia (PhD or researchers without PhD degree – Mathematics)		Applicant: Applicant: not above 30 years old; Diploma of Higher Education/student of the last year of Master degree program or equivalent; no less than 1 publication in the last 3 years

* All degrees with specialization in theoretical physics and related fields

** Publications should be in scientific journals indexed in the Web Of Science Core Collection or MathSciNet.
